KENTO TAKAYAMA COLLECTION'23
The very first runway show for the brand KENTO TAKAYAMA was held on October 16, 2022, at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
RUNWAY LOOKS
The runway show was the very first one for the brand highlighting the designer’s love for New York City.
The runway was set as a pop-up fashion show to gain a natural audience and reaction for the collection while showcasing its humble beginning and the spirit of the brand starting from its’ Ready-To-Wear elevating to its Couture pieces to close the show.
HIGHLIGHTS
KENTO TAKAYAMA's first runway debut was inspired by the cycle of life.
From where life began, encouraging others to continue dreaming while dealing with daily struggles.
Kento believes in the power of creating a bright future, with the notion that success is in the eye of the beholder.
It is accepting the past, living in the present moment, and aiming high for a better future.
LOOKBOOK
This collection tells a story of the designer's past, present life, and future vision.

THE MAKING
October 2021 was the beginning of the making of the KENTO TAKAYAMA 2023 collection.
In February of 2022, this collection was pre-showcased with 11 looks; which was incomplete.
Labeled as Fall/Winter collection, but in actuality the brand never follows the fashion timeline.
INTERVIEW
with Jacques Morel
Journalist and photographer Jacques Morel; has a history of writing fashion articles for
Office Magazine and iconic interviews including Jada Pinkett Smith, had said
"Clothes are stunning - they're elegant yet have a militaristic form.
They command your attention. Bravo.
Much sees his pieces as a tribute to New York City.
The setting for the show, underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, was a fitting natural runway - staging lucky tourists as his guests instead of the blue-checked elite (har har) was an egalitarian touch. It also speaks to the fact that for many people, New York City is the runway through which you can achieve your dreams."
